The Cleaners Place (“we”, “us”) provides software for cleaning businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and web application at thecleanersplace.com.
Who this policy covers
Our direct customers are cleaning business owners and their staff (“Account Users”). Those businesses use the platform to serve their own clients (“End Customers”). We process End Customer information as a service provider on behalf of the business; that business is responsible for its own privacy practices toward its End Customers.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email, phone, company name, role, and password credentials (handled by our authentication provider).
- Business data you enter — customers, properties, jobs, schedules, quotes, invoices, expenses, staff records, photos, and notes.
- Payment information — processed by Stripe. We store limited details such as the last four digits and card brand for display; full card numbers are held by Stripe, not by us.
- Usage and device data — log data, IP address, browser type, and actions taken in the app, used for security and diagnostics.
- Cookies — a session cookie to keep you signed in, a short-lived cookie for the client portal, and a referral cookie if you arrive from a partner link. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
How we use information
- Provide, operate and maintain the service
- Process subscription billing and send transactional email (confirmations, invoices, reminders)
- Provide customer support and respond to requests
- Monitor for security, fraud and abuse
- Improve the product and understand how it is used
- Comply with legal obligations
Service providers
We share information with vendors who help us run the service, under agreements that limit their use of it:
- Stripe — payment processing and payouts
- Google Firebase — authentication and file storage
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Mapbox — address geocoding and maps for route planning
- Railway — application hosting and database
- Airtable — support and feedback tickets
We do not sell your personal information.
Google user data
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile basics to create and authenticate your account. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use this data only to provide and improve the sign-in feature and do not transfer or use it for advertising.
Data retention
We keep account and business data for as long as your account is active. After cancellation we retain it for a limited period to allow reactivation and to meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize it. You can request earlier deletion (see below).
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Sensitive fields such as bank account numbers are encrypted at rest. Access is limited to personnel who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you of material incidents as required by law.
Your choices and rights
- Access or correct your account information in the app
- Export your business data, or request a copy
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of non-essential email
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Contact us to exercise them.
Children
The service is intended for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. If changes are material we will notify Account Users by email or in the app before they take effect. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
